Mingma Chhiring Sherpa

Mingma Chhiring Sherpa was born in Phortse village. Coming from a family of Climbing Sherpas, it was no surprise to anyone when, at age 14, Mingma Chhiring literally followed in their footsteps. In 2002, he was married to Lakpa Kanchi Sherpa. Father of two sons named Sonam Phinjo Sherpa (Older) and Dharma Sherpa younger Son.

Mingma Sherpa holds records of summiting Mt. Everest 16 Times, Mt. Cho-Oyu 7 Times, Mt. Manaslu 4 Times and Mt. Ama-Dablam 7 times, and many other high Himalayas peaks which are over 6000 to 7000 m. In addition, Mingma and his wife run a family business as owners of the Chola View Lodge in the village of Nala.

Mingma Chhiring completed several mountain climbing courses through national and international institutions. He has climbed the Island, Mera, Ama Dablam, Lobuje, and Pharchamo peaks numerous times.
