Pikey is situated in the Lower region of Solukhumbu district at an altitude of 4070 m. From Pikey Peak, one can get a grand view of nature and can experience the traditional lives of different ethnic groups like Sherpa, Chhetri, Tamang and Gurung. Tourists can taste the varieties of local cuisines and observe some rare plants and animals. Likhupikey Rural Municipality of Ward No. 1 of Solukhumbu district and Pikey region of Ward No 8 of Solu Dudh Kunda rural Municipality is considered the most important places of natural and biological variety. Tourists can observe the best view of the highest peak of the world Mt. Everest in the short trek.
 
From Pikey Peak, one can get a grand view of mountain peaks like Dhaulagiri, Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Numbur, Gaurisankhar, Langtang to the far west. Additionally, Pikey Peak rewards tourists with one of the best sunrises and sunset views. It offers dense forests of Sunpati, Pine, and Rhododendron whereas attraction of birds and animals like  Lophophorus, Crimson Horned Pheasant, tiger, wild bear, Panda, Ghoral, and so on. Similarly, Chauri Ghai, Nak, yak, and cow can be found anywhere in this area.
 
Tourists can have a pleasing view of nature's unique scenes, villages, and living ways of Sherpa, Tamang, Chhetri, Gurung, and Sunmuwar. To reach Pikey Peak, a bus or jeep ride from Bamti Bhandar of  Ramechhap district -the Okhaldhunga dhap-Khinji Phalate -Salleri of Solukhumbu district and then trek can be followed. Other alternatives can be a flight to Paplu airport in Solukhumbu district. The villages belonging to Likhu Pikey rural municipality include villages like Chaulakharka, Gole. Similarly, other villages of Solu Dudh Kunda municipality like Kerung, Tapting, Tamakhani, Gorakhani, Salleri, and Junbesi also lie in Likhu Pikey rural municipality. Likewise, other villages of Okhaldhunga district and Ramechhap districts such as Patale, Kiji Demba, and Bamtibhandar are also part of the Likhu Pikey Peak Trek.

Itinerary

Arrive at any time, Xtreme Climbers vehicle and represent we'll pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to the hotel. Your included activities consist of refreshments, an introduction to your guide, as well as an introduction to The Trek.

Your adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos. A representative from Xtreme Climbers will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

  • Airport Pick and Drop: Kathmandu international airport picks up on your arrival in TIA by private vehicle.
  • Hotels in Kathmandu: 2 nights 3*** Twin sharing accommodation in Kathmandu B/B plan as per itinerary.
  • Transportation during Trip: Kathmandu Dhap & on the way back Phaplu-Kathmandu transfer with regular 4WD local Jeep drive transfer.
  • Trekking Permit and Entrance Fee: Gauri shankar conservation GCAP and Sagarmatha National Park entrance for the Pikey peak and local area entrance fee.
  • Trekking Guide and Porters: Professional government license holder Mountain Trekking Guide and Required number of porters during the trek.(1 porter = 2 guest basis) maximum of 30.kg per porter.

  • Hotel and Extra night in Kathmandu: Hotel rooms upon your arrival and before departure as well any Extra nights accommodation in Kathmandu or any other places then scheduled programmed itinerary. In case of early arrival or late departure, early return from Trekking / Expedition (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary.
  • Insurance: Travel and high altitude insurance, accident, medical & emergency evacuation.
  • Rescue Evacuation: Medical Insurance and emergency rescue evacuation cost if required. (Rescue, Repatriation, Medication, Medical Tests and Hospitalization costs.)
