Commencing from Sundarijal, a vital water source for Kathmandu, the journey winds through lush forests and babbling streams to the tranquil haven of Chisapani. Here, amidst serene surroundings, one can relish the essence of nature and engage with local communities, away from urban clamor. Along the Trek, travelers are treated to glimpses of Tamang settlements on the 1st day enriching the journey with cultural diversity and local hospitality. Tamang villages dot the landscape, offering a glimpse into their traditional way of life, characterized by colorful attire, vibrant festivals, and warm hospitality. The trails are covered with the lush greens of the Shivapuri National Park, and the marijuana bushes around the human settlement.
Continuing onward, the trek leads to Nagarkot, celebrated for its captivating sunrise vistas and panoramic views of iconic Himalayan peaks like Everest, Langtang, and Gaurishankar. With luck, clear skies unveil a breathtaking spectacle of snow-capped majesty, a sight cherished by both domestic and international visitors. The Nagarkot is popularly known for its magnifique sunrise and sunset. After Breakfast, we hike toward Changu Narayan meandering through terraced fields and local villages. This journey typically spans about four hours, culminating at Changu Narayan Temple, a revered UNESCO cultural heritage site and the oldest Hindu temple in Nepal. The temple is a masterpiece of ancient Hindu arts and architecture, representing the rich cultural heritage of the region. As hikers descend from the temple towards Bhaktapur city, they are treated to captivating views of mountains and hills along the way. Bhaktapur itself boasts numerous attractions, including the renowned Bhaktapur Durbar Square, another UNESCO cultural heritage site, adding depth and cultural significance to the hike.
